How does it help?

Meibomian glands produce the oils for our tears, which are critical for clear and comfortable vision. Meibomian Gland Dysfunction (MGD) causes thick and unhealthy oils to obstruct the glands. TearCare clears the obstructions and restores normal gland function.

What to expect?

Skin oils and/or make-up will be removed. Gentle heat is then applied to the eyelids for 15 minutes. The doctor will then manually express the meibomian glands.

Vision will not be affected, and you should be able to perform normal activities for the rest of the day. Make-up can be re-applied following the TearCare procedure.
